Why do people like smoking?

Maybe, they are happy with smoking. Haha
I don't know why they have to smoke.
Smoking destroys their health and effects
to others people around them.
They should go to smoke where don't
have people there.
There are many disadvantages of smoking,
but they still keep doing it.

Most people start smoking when they are in their teens and are addicted by the time they reach adulthood. Some have tried to quit but have returned to cigarettes because smoking is such a strong addiction. It is a habit that is very difficult to break. There are many different reasons why people smoke.

Three of the main reasons that young people smoke are to look mature, to be like their friends, and to experiment. Since teens see older people all around them smoking, especially their parents and relatives, they smoke to act older. If their friends or peers smoke, they may feel pressured into doing the same to be accepted. The last reason is the excitement of experimenting with something that is forbidden. In Massachusetts it is against the law for anyone under 18 years old to smoke. Usually parents do not allow their under age teens to smoke. Therefore, smoking becomes very attractive. It is exciting to get cigarettes and sneak away to smoke without being caught.

Adults smoke for other reasons. They may have a lot of stress and pressures because of economic and personal problems. They may be unemployed or working but not making enough money to take care of themselves and their families. They may be homeless, or they may be dealing with alcohol or cocaine/heroin addictions. Some may be in bad marriages or relationships in which there is physical and/or verbal abuse. All these people may smoke to feel relaxed or to give them energy while going through a hard time.

Whether young or old, some people smoke to control their weight. Smokers, on the average, weigh seven pounds less than non-smokers. Smoking reduces a person's appetite. It lessens his/her sense of taste and smell. This could be why ex-smokers gain weight after quitting cigarettes. Food tastes and smells so much better.

Finally, there are people who say they love to smoke. Smoking gives them pleasure. It just makes them feel good.

Even though it is harmful and full of cancer for their poor lungs, even though it makes it hard for them to breath and run.

I do not like them so much. For their reason, it should be depend on themselves.

I used to ask my dad who smoked a lot.
He smoked 1 pack of tobaccos a day which contains about 30 pieces.
He told me that it helped him to relax and fresh.
He would forget all serious things coming into his life.
He was really addicted to it. Unfortunately, he died of lung cancer.

I don't know the exact reason of those who are smokers.
I dislike smoking and smokers.
There are a lot of guys that have a nice look but their smoking image can damage all of their handsome. Smoking is more terrified when happening is women. I may be too conservative about this, but I can't see any reasonable factors caused smoking. WHY PEOPLE LIKE IT?

They just want to try because of any reasons I don't know.

Some people smoke because they are in groups of people who smoke.
Some people feel under pressure to smoke to become popular.
Nicotine is an extremely addictive substance and that is one of the reasons why people can't quit. Other reasons are stress relief, habit or just pure enjoyment!

I had asked my brother for this question and he answered me that there is no reason just want to smoke. So I think the reasons is their want. It is very difficult to stop smoking he told me.

I used to ask my friend and he said that he liked to smoke when he stressed or angry.
He wanted to reduce the bad feelings in his mind so, he smoked.
But from that point, he addicted it and couldn't find a way to quit. He said it was not easy as people think. However, I think if people who smoke intend to quit, they could do it. My father used to smoke either, but he quitted when I was born. .

We are different. For me, I like listening music to make me feel better.
For people who like smoking might have the reason like me when I listen to music.
It's your rights, but you should know where is the appropriate place for smoking.
However, I disagree with the way to overcome stress by smoking.
I think there are several ways to help you feel fresh and better when you're serious about something.

I never know what they think because I never smoke.
People know this is such a harmful stuff, but they don't
stop smoking. My dad was the one who smoked, he got sick
so that he stopped smoking. While he smoked, the smell
of cigarette came out every inch of his body. I hated
that smell so much.

Freud said oral stimulation could lead to an oral fixation in later life. We see oral personalities all around us such as smokers, nail-biters, finger-chewers, and thumb suckers. Oral personalities engage in such oral behaviors, particularly when under stress.

I have heard from one of my friend said it release their stress. I don't know it was proved or not.
Although it really help to release stress, there are still lots of ways to release the stress. Smoking
are cause a huge problem to the body and it cause a bad smell. Please , stop smoking unless you
will cause the problem for surrounding people.
