I remember the root of the vocabularies then put prefix and suffix to the root.
I will help you to remember and guess what the vocabulary means.
I use songs, chants, synonym and antonym to remember the vocabularies.

Whenever I see some words, some kind of picture, or experience, pop up in my head.

For me, I compose them into a song or chant by categorizing which easy to remember such as the word which mean encourage.
It is a very good technique because remembering vocabulary is quite difficult and boring, so it is much more easier and fun when we do it in the different way.
Song and chant are useful, I can add the rythm or other lyric in order to make it more smooth and beautiful.
As a result, I can change a boring activity to be the joyful one. In addition, I can remember the vocabulary together with entertain myself.

I never ignore unknown vocabularies. Every time when I find a new word or unknown one while reading, I will look up that one's meaning from dictionary. And reading will lead me to know new words. So reading is the best technique for me to learn Eng vocabulary.

She gave me to read the editorials and wrote ten new vocabularies on the book.
From this task, i have the long term memory about vocabularies that i have written.

My technique is print out the lyrics and write vocabulary with meaning on lyrics sheet.
I always print my favorite songs' lyrics, and I sing those song over 3 times a day.
I sing until I can remember the lyrics, and every time I see the vocab and meaning that I wrote.
Not only I can sing my favorite songs, but I still get more vocabulary in my brain.
